Northern California - Anyone ride on Christmas?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
We rode our tandem 40 miles from Canada and 92 to Los Altos Hills. It was cold and foggy at 92 so we started at Edgewood at 10AM and headed south and finished the ride by going to 92 and returning to Edgewood. The sun came out half way through the ride and it was a great day to be out. When we finished it was 61degrees. We saw a couple of tandems, one inline skater dressed as Santa Clause and several bikes. There were very few cars.
Rode from Cupertino through Los Altos and Portola Valley to Woodside. Returned via Whiskey Hill, Sand Hill, etc. The number of riders was certainly less than normal. I started counting cyclists on the last 10 miles and only counted 19. Saw a couple of other club members and one recumbent. I don't remember seeing any tandems. I left around 12:30 and returned around 2:45. It was warmer in Cupertino than it was to the north.
I stopped in the middle of my ride at Hwy 9 and Skyline for about 5 minutes, and saw two other cyclists go by.

Nope I stayed home and finished building my new system. :D Will know tomorrow or on Wednesday if my bike is salvageable.

I rode from San Jose into Los Gatos over Kennedy and out Hicks. Rode up to the lake and back. A pleasant day for a recovery ride of 22 miles and roughly 2200 ft of climbing. Now hopefully the weather co-operates for next weekend as well.

I did a 8.5ish mile round trip to the grocery store (first one was closed) to pick up supplies on my just finished BikeE RX. Packed the seat bag totally full and then had to start tying plastic bags to the upper seat support but I got it all home without breaking the eggs! Cold and misty, but glorious to be out and riding!

I went on the regular SRCC christmas cookie ride. 22 miles with mixed sun and clouds. ~55 degrees. Everybody brought more cookies then we could all eat and we ate our fill. I tossed in two bottles of wine.
