When you drive through a town that you once raced in, do you make note of when you're on the course??

I find that most Roadies will say something about it.

I saw Cuba Gooding in "Radio" on TV tonight and remembered that they filmed it on main street in Walterboro SC where they had the S.C. Heritage Tour.
I couldn't help but say "Hey, they're on the course!"

sh1t yeah.

I'm always pestering the missus with mindless drivel...

"Finish line was just there outside that cafe...."

"This corner is a biatch in the bunch..."

"that's the spot I broke my collarbone..."

Here in the States, we sprint for city limit signs when out for a spin with friends.

In Belgium they sprint for old finish lines through every town we'd pass. That was the coolest thing ever. I mean, literally 1000's of imaginary lines all over that country and the guys would of course then have a story to how they were sprinting for 14th against some old Tour rider in '88, when all of the sudden...

"The inflatable finish line collapsed on the Masters right about here 2 laps into it..."

"And here's where I smelled burning human flesh for the first time, shortly after realizing, to my dismay, that I was the one who had overcooked the turn..."
