My cycle computer battery died a little while ago and I realize how much more I enjoy riding without it. I am still interested in total miles riddden howerever so any ideas as to where to track dowm an old odometer? I did not see one on E-bay and yellow jersey did not have one.

Thanks

I have a huret that's on my Peugeot right now, It's like to upgrade to an analogue speedometer so maybe we can work something out.

I have opened up a pedometer, and spliced in the sensor wires from a Sigma 'puter into its guts and achieved a pure odometer. Gives you both the number of "steps" and some degree of calibrating how long each "step" - or in this case rotation of the wheel is. Adequate, but probably not worth the effort.

I have a slightly used Martex odometer with the original spoke attachment - works like a huet (sp) but has a knob to reset mileage.

Send me an email rcross2@comcast.net and I will send a picture. Make an offer if it looks like something you could use.

Huret has that too, a trip odometer and a total one.
