I had to put this here so someone could snag it quickly. It will sell very fast. If it was my size it'd be gone!

Oh man, why doesn't that kind of stuff show up here! Anybody wanna ship that to me?

I know...it's a total steal for a beautiful bike. I love Ciocc's. It's not my size but I'm tempted to just get it anyway. It's got the all-chrome stays which I think mean top-end.

I have a few wants, an English 3 speed, something chrome maybe a track bike, and something Italian a Ciocc, Cinelli, or Colnago....

Sounds like a chrome Italian track bike is in your future....

Hey M, here's one for ya!

Used to be mine and I did the funky metal flake paint!

Dr. Deltron; so you painted that? It looks great....and there are no bids??? So you know the seller? (he has zero feedback and so otherwise it's a gamble). I think I want it!

Yes, I painted that a decade and a half ago, at least! It was my frame, but I never got around to building it up. And apparently no one else has either!:p I had a couple of Ciocc's back when I owned my first bike shop in..uh..'86?! So this one was to be my special ride (the others had stock paint). But, well, other things happened. I'm pretty sure it was one of many "bits" I sold back in '02 to fund my Greenspeed tandem. I think I sold it to a shop in Santa Cruz, CA. The current seller says he picked it up at a swap meet in Philly last year sometime. I was/am half tempted to bid, but I have a Merlin en route, so that's the priority now. Good luck, I hope you win it.
And if you don't use snipeware, you should! Try BayGenie eBay auction snipeware. It has a free 15 day trial. Google to find it. Hope that helps you get it!:D
Oh, BTW, I didn't sell it with forks, so I don't know what the seller is including.

Ah yes.. I've been meaning to find some snipeware so I don't have to plan my day around watching the final 17 seconds of an auction! But you know, if you just bid the highest amount to begin with, then snipeware or not...you're gonna win. I know that everyone tries to keep the bid artifically low to come in at the last second.....o' the games...o' the heartbreak. Someone should write a book about eBay.

hmmmm well I'll toss a bid on it. Not sure if it will meet his reserve. I'm still a little hesitant because of the zero-feedback thing (he'll probably send me a half-eaten donut for my $275)

Yeah, I noticed that Ciocc auction as well and I think that there are zero bids right now because it really doesn't have many of the details we all know and love that are typical of a Ciocc----the embossing on the seat-stays and the crown of the forks. I emailled the seller and he said the fork is some generic tange fork.

I really didn't think it was a Ciocc at all until I read this thread, funny.

well Jet Sanchez.. what do you think of the other Ciocc? (at the top of the page)

I think it is definetely worth $250 but it is pretty big, much bigger than the 58 that is in the auction. I have a 60cm Ciocc that looks smaller than that one so my guess would be that it is a 62cm frame, even though the seller says he is 6'1 and that he finds it too small. I think he just must have loooooooooong legs.
