Hi there. Found these old pics in my hard drive recently, thought some folks might like to have a look. Too bad the descriptions are all in french, but you get the picture!!! Oh, I got these a number of years ago on a Japanese website, there were hundreds more, I just picked out the ones I liked! Ed

#5. I agree they look like D.Rebour. Like I said, got them off a free japanese site about 6 or 7 years ago. They may have had the whole book on the site at that time!

Nice work, drawing components like that in perspective is brutal.

"The Dancing Chain" book by Frank J. Berto (about the history of multi-speed hub and derailleur development) is full of Rebour drawings, including entire gruppos when those started to appear.

This isn't one of those great Rebour sketches, but here's a photo of a pre-World War II bike with a unique Austrian drivetrain. PuchUltima can explain how it works.

Gorgeous. The slack angles used on '30s-40s roadbikes give them this wonderful character all their own. A fast machine with the leisurely handling of a DL-1. Just the type of machine you'd want to ride down a 10 mile, wide, winding downhill grade.
