Anyone ever own one of these ? I just bought an '01 NOS Cannondale Silk Road frame and did not do my due diligence before hand - can the Silk Road Fork not be had anymore (It is a short (10-15mm travel) Headshok) ? Anyone ever use one of those special headsets or adapters to go from 1&1/2 inch to 1&1/8 inch dia. steering tube and just use a regular fork instead ? I think I may have to end up doing that or eat the cost of this frame ... the nice person I bought it from on EBAY conveniently ommited that it was built to take this Headshok fork in the item description.
I am worried about the loss of height due to the lack of the shock part of the fork if I use the adapter...
