A bunch of us got or built new (at least to us) bikes this year - thought it would be fun to have a thread with ONLY those new rigs! Refurbs are OK too :)

Since I started riding again this year all my rigs are new to me except for my mtb which I did a bunch of stuff to.

Here's my Downtube folder and my mtb (halfway to being refurbed there) hanging out at the Savoy:

My mtb as it is now minus new al cranks:

My Russian folding bike - 44 pounds of steel:

And my new Nishiki Sport that my friend's old roommate left behind (pre-furbed):

It's getting a bunch of upgrades come January 2nd or so :D

Parents house.

But even if it was mine.

Is there something wrong with floral print?

no no. nothing wrong. i just figured it might be an odd choice for a younger person to choose these days.

Not bad, considering the studded tires. ;) I didn't like the ride of the stock Vittoria Randoneur Xcross tires that came on it at all, made it feel really slow and sluggish, I think the Klondikes roll better even with the studs!

Yeah - it wasn't much of a problem for me to carry around but it was funny watching others try to lift it :D I had a lot of stairs to climb and the folding takes longer then newer designs with QR.

And Tom, I know, I know! One day - have to get the bike going first even if it means just sitting on the seatpost for a while

These are works in progress.

My Turner Flux. I am so excited about this bike. It's presently in scooter mode.
http://stradasystems.com/mtb/images/flux_wip_001.jpg

My road bike project. I have collected most of the bits for this bike but I have not really decided if I will build it up. The way I see it, if I have a free morning or afternoon I would rather go mountain biking. Maybe I'll sell the frame and get a cyclocross frame instead.

The Gazelle was finished in Janurary of this year, the Passage purchased and upgrade in June/July, and the Flyte will be finished some time next week.

(See Signature for Pics and details of all three)

{on a mod-ly note, let's try to keep the bike posts contained to the Post your Rides and Rigs thread that's stickied up top everyone. That's what its there for. Thank you. **

No room to keep it here, plus I just opted to leave it there at the end of race season, it's fully insured and I can pick it up anytime.

And you dont want the cranks and BB, cranks are both cracked, and the BB has powdered bearings :p.

I just got this 1976 Schwinn Voyageur 2. I realize now that I can fit a 62 cm frame. This bike was one step below a Paramount and has Dura-Ace components.

Yea, that is different. The frame on this bike was made by Panasonic and the workmanship is top notch. I'm just going to clean this bike up and ride it. I'll have mswantak make new downtube decals for it since the old one's are gone.
