Thinking of hitting up the San Juan Trail for the first ride of the New Year.

Planning on starting around 9:00 am since it will be realllllllly cold starting from the canyon.

If anyone wants to join me but wants to save on the Forest Pass fee, I can take two additional riders and bikes in my truck.

What better way to start the New Year than on a bike :)

See ya on the trails!

I don't own a mtbk and I'm riding up Angeles Crest on Monday, but you have fun out there! :D (I have to admit, the more you guys post rides, the less I can ignore mtbking possibilities)

I might be able to go, I won't really know til the weekend though. If my bro gets his jeep, we're going to need to get everything ready to drive to texas.

You're welcome to borrow one of my mtb's for a ride, as long as you don't mind one gear.

Yeah, I have to do it. I haven't ridden with Vertical Bob in awhile and I miss him. He's the only person I can ride with AND snap at who will take it in stride and still ride with me. :p Which reminds me, I've got to email him and tell him I'll go. You want to join us? We're starting at a different place than the actual group start. Bob knows that area so well - and I'm just going to follow him. But our version of the ride won't be as tough as the actual NY ride up that mountain. Both of us have been off our bikes for a couple of weeks (well, I have for a week and a half and it feels like an eternity!).

 Yeah. Funny guy, you are, huh? If you're willing to carry me up the hills and down the single tracks, sure...:p
