My uncle came Monday, so yesterday we went shopppping. He spent over $500 in all. For me we bought a new bottle cage $5.99, adjustable suspension seat post $19.99, and water bottle $5.99. We also bought maps of Catalina Island bike trails, SoCal bike trails, and OC bike trails. We bought my sister a new hybrid bike $150.00, a tube for me, and 2 $3 pant clips.
And much much more.
Now I can actually count my Nishiki as a mountain bike, not just another commuting bike.
All from you freindly neighborhoood monster kid.

I'm sore today. Especially my brain.
My uncle lives in NYC so today I had to test my knowledge of Brea (I had to guide him everywhere).
EDIT:
Brea is the name of the city, right?
Did you get to ride with your uncle, Max?

We are riding on SART New Years day, and tomorrow or the day after maybe we're going to an overnight tour (offroad). Has anyone ridden O'Neil park?
Never been riding at ONeill, but I have camped and hiked there quite a bit. It's a nice park. :)

It has campsites, or can you just veeeeer off and camp anywhere?
They have a campground, you can make reservations or chance going without...

Max if you get sea sick easily, don't eat 2 things of pringles while on the top of the boat going over to catalina island.
Otherwise you will join the puke crew.

Max, I've ridden O'neil what seems like hundreds of times. It was across the street from my house, you know, out the door and 50 ft to the trail!!
It's not great, but is definitely good.
You can actually go all the way to Doheny beach, ( if you head south) most by dirt trail and fire road!
a couple of steam crossings etc.
Head to the north end of the park for some small hills and a 5 mle loop, or head south and go just about as far as you want!
Saw a cougar ( Mt lion) on the trail once, very cool. Checked me out and walked away, no prob.

Cool thanks.
Really hilarious that you have mountain lions checking you out. Have you ever camped there?

Never camped there, but they have good camp sites.
Bring a jacket, it'll be quite chilly!
I thought you went through puberty...

Awesome, Max! Sounds like you're getting more and more situated for riding long term! When you get pics, post. :)
Oh, and ignore Ovoleg. He has yet to go through puberty, so he is just all excited thinking maybe someone else can share his/her experience with him. :D
