Can't remember if i made a thread in this or not but here goes:

I have been saving up for a new frame and with christmas and all i can pretty much buy any frame i want.

I am 5'8" (hopefully still mildly growing), i do park, street and i am getting into trails. It doesn't have to be majourly strong as i have taken off my pegs which is what caused my old frame to bend and money is not an issue (for the most)

Some Ideas i have are:

S&M L.A.F
S&M Black bike
Any of the new mutinys
Alone Maiden
Any FBM
Any T1
etc...

Suggestions people please!

Fit Hawk? He rides trails a lot so it should work well for that.

I think the S3 is probally a better frame all together.

Eatern Ti Grim Reaper

Are those even in production?

I thought it was just a prototype.

They have that warning on all their Ti parts.

If you built that bike up, with all Ti parts you could have like, a 14lb bike.

But I doubt a smooth rider who only rides smooth parks could make it last a extended amount of time.

If I was rich, I would buy that frame just to fool around with it.

Well, a LAF, S3 and others will be just what you are after for trails.

But, for 200$ shipped...take a look at Seshin. Damn nnice for a great price.

Or go after a Standard.

If you're after a trails bike, why not get a trails frame (fit hawk)? Common sense buddy. But I would go with Sunday because I have heard a bunch of problems with the Fit Hawk and Sunday frames have always had a good rep.

the fit hawk isnt really a trails frame

It's designed for the trails. Just like the Macneil Bibi. I forgot to mention it.

what makes you say that? IMO, no trails frame should have a low stand over height and short chainstays

FitRider 921

Hmmm... I could have sworn it said so on Fit's website. Guess I misread and/or confused it with the Bibi.

It's a common misconception because Chase hawk rides alot of trails.

That too. It's pretty much all he rode in Fitlife (or maybe it was all he rode). I just got the fitlife shirt from dans... sick sick.

Yeh, i was just wondering if anyone has any experience with one, i know beerman has

FitRider 921
12-30-06, 12:21 PM
Beerman dented his up pretty good. The one friend I know that has it doesn't rock pegs and is pretty easy on his bike, so he has no problems. But I assume you're not going to be that easy on it. Why not just go with a Sunday?

My friend has a sunday and he would kill me if i got one, besides, it doesnt really grab me.

FBM Autopilot?

Ok, so the stairmaster is on the table, aswell as the L.A.F

How about the more beef black bike?

this is a fun game

Yeah, go with the stairmaster because you ride street with pegs. I wouldn't go with the black bike... I just don't like it.

premiumbmx2005
12-30-06, 02:54 PM
i dont think you need a black bike.

if you want a bike you dont have to worry about i would personally go with the L.A.F. just because fbms seem to crack quite a bit.

L.A.F.'s dent a lot. Ask Beerman.

Yep. I just wouldn't run one if I did street. Heard good things about the Stairmaster... I actually want one.

eightdip
12-30-06, 02:59 PM
Well i don't do any grinds at the moment because i've taken off my pegs. I may put them on in the future but who knows.

T1 Garret whatever his name is?

Garret Byrnes? I don't like it. A bit heavy.

premiumbmx2005

i really like that frame. you should see if you could get it w/ out the chain stay guards

premiumbmx2005
12-30-06, 03:02 PM
wow, we cant agree on anythhing

Nope.

eightdip
12-30-06, 03:03 PM
I'm not toooo bothered about weight, the L.A.F's weight'll be sweet but i'm not really arsed. At least the T1 will be mega strong

eightdip
12-30-06, 03:03 PM
The guards may come in handy if i put my pegs back on

premiumbmx2005
12-30-06, 03:04 PM
yeah, i would do with the t1. i love t1's.

I guessed

premiumbmx2005
12-30-06, 03:05 PM
they also have a new frame coming out...the joel moody/danny hickerson one. it looks pretty sweet. not the t1 style seatstay/seattube junction thing though.

Eh. Wouldn't quite be my choice, but it is still a nice frame. I'd go with a Stairmaster, Sunday, or even a Felt... possibly a Fit Aitken.

premiumbmx2005
12-30-06, 03:07 PM
i like the sunday frame too but that gusset is just so ugly.
