Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I came across this trek 560 on craigslist and am going to go see it on Saturday:
Does anyone have any info on this frame.. what year, etc?

>>I will include derailleurs free of charge if you do not want to build it as a single speed. <<
Is that like a bribe not to make a fixie?

But fixies are great. Some fixie riders are not (you know what i'm talking about).

Vintage-Trek.com (http://www.vintage-trek.com/index.htm) is a great resource for information on older Treks.
Decals make it look like a 1984. The 560 was built with Reynolds 501. Here's a link to the 1984 catalogue (http://www.vintage-trek.com/TrekBrochure1984Racing.htm). Frame geometry is at the bottom of the page.
