So far so good actually. The dope is just precautionary. I may just pass it out during the next ride.

I just picked up a bottle about 15 minutes ago :p Actually, I hate taking meds and have a pretty high tolerance to pain & suffering, but my back has been screamin' at me all day. A Vicodin and a Pacifco or two, and I'll be out until tomorrow

I'm sorry, I'm goofy - what is it again? Wisdom teeth? don't worry about being out of the gym for a bit. Just go for light walks and you'll get it back going next week. :)

When I had jaw surgery they gave me liquid something, heck it may have been codine. In any case, I tended to up the dose a few % for those first few days.

Hope you get to feelin good (one way or another) soon V-man. Great meeting you last weekend, and when in doubt, don't forget the power of Tequila!

I had a freak accident on a ride about a year ago where I scratched my cornea. If you've ever done that, then you know how frickin' bad it can hurt (Especially when the incompetent e-room doc fails to find the 1/4" long grass seed that is still lodged in there. It finally worked its way out on its own, nearly a week later after two opthalmology follow-up appts. Apparently the opthalmologist wasn't exactly on the ball either. I kept telling those guys I could feel something in there. They said a scratched cornea "just feels that way".).

They prescribed vicodin for me and it didn't do squat. That stuff is worthless. I think I finally managed to fall asleep around 2 a.m. that first night sometime after I took the second one. Up until that point I was in a great deal of pain and the vicodin didn't even seem to make a dent in it. Fortunately the pain subsided to just a constant irritation after the first day.

Maybe I shoulda had a beer with that vicodin.

Mix the Vicodin with some Ambien and you'll sleep like a baby :D

Vicodin isn't intended as a sleep aid. Though it does make some people drowsy, it's really just a side affect that only some people get. I used to work with someone that took it regularly for back pain. They never got tired, in fact, almost the opposite, they got pretty amped and had a hard time concentrating.

I was given vicodin when I had a tooth pulled. I took one, sat on the couch in a semi daze for 6 hours and never needed to take another one as the wound didn't hurt the next day anyway.

Wacky stuff, avoid it if you can.

Norco is primo stuff. I got that after both knee surgeries because vicodin messes me up and it was great. Helped me sleep too- I had some pretty crazy dreams though :)
