Hi all,

I'm from Somerset, but I'm now living in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England. However, I work in Stoke Rochford and don't yet drive so am now frequently cycling to work and back. My workmates think I'm mad.

I ride a mountain bike that has been donated to me by my boss - a good bike as although much of the route is road, there is a little bit off-road.

Hopefully this place will give me a few tips and ideas about riding - I used to ride a lot as a kid, but I fell off about ten years ago and it was a long time (too long) before I got on a bike again.

What part of Somerset. I used to live in Bristol and as a teenager cycled over the Mendips for caving around Priddy, also cycled to my aunt's farm near Taunton. That was nearly 50 yrs ago. Visited Wells and Glastonbury last time I was in the UK.

I was born in Yeovil, but I was brought up in West Somerset - Minehead, before moving to West Quantoxhead. I went to college in Taunton, so know that area quite well.
