I'm pretty sure Edge Cycle Sports would do it. Give them a call @ 949-472-9497.
Santiago something or other has a fitter.

Paul (Manager) at Jax Huntington Beach can do it for you. He is off until Sunday though. If you do go see him, please be sure to tell him Greg sent you ;)

What system do they use to do the alignment with??? I saw one on a video podcast called Trailtapes but I cant recall who made it.... its was really cool because it pointed out the rotation in your foot during a pedal stroke which is a major cause of numbness and other knee/ankle issues...
I hit back bay today and got my new pedals and road shoes semi dialed in and also realized my seat should of been higher... so I adjusted it up 1/2" and seemed to make a difference....
Eventually I will solve the issues I was dealing with before or I will just cut my feet off!! :)

Paul did it by eye when he did my plum line. As it turns out, only one of my cleats were off just a bit. But to be honest with you, he would be more qualified to answer your question than I.
Hope that helps :)

The system they showed on trailtapes was a device that you bolted to your cranks instead of the pedal and there are pins that go into your shoes where the cleats go and it had these rods the stuck out and when it was correctly aligned, the rods where parallel... I'll have to rewatch that podcast and get the name

Ive been dealing with issues with my feet since building my road bike and im plain sick of it.... I so wanna do these 50+ miles rides everyone here talks about... :( but I been limited to around 20 or so miles untill my feet were killing me....
So I wanna do it right and have a professional adjust them instead of me guessing!!

Have you also looked into custom fitted footbeds (inserts) for your shoe's?

Just tighten your cleat so its tight but you can still move it. Clip you shoe into the pedal, now align the shoe so you have it just where you want it. Rotate the pedal so you can see the bottom of the shoe and outline the cleat with a pen on the sole of the shoe. Take the shoe out of the pedal, align the cleat with the outline mark you made and tighten the cleats.
Wasn't that easy?

well since I just bought these shoes and today was the first ride in them, I need to see if I solved any of the past issues.... I was using my mountain shoes and small SPD pedals and was dealing with major soreness.... now I have Ultegra pedals and Specialized Carbon Pro shoes and today was the first day in them.... I need to ride more....
Also THIS is that alignment tool i was mentioning....

To be honest, I would look more into your shoe's first, as it sounds like that is where the problem may be

Hey Brian,
Where are you having pain at? I had my Speedplays adjusted at Switchback on Chapman, in Orange. Tim is the man, and his wife is/was a physical therapist, so she gave me some stretching exercises to do to help alleviate the pain in my knees I was having... 3000 miles later, no problems!

Sounds like you jsut need to toughen up! :D
Sounds more like a shoe problem than a cleat problem... could be wrong though!

AS far as setting seat height, I've found a good rule of thumb is clip out, and try and pedal with your heels. If your seat is at the right height, you heals should just barely be able to keep contact with the pedals all the way around... seems to work for me anyways.
Where in your feet are you having soreness?

Sounds like whta I was dealing with on my Mt Bike. During Mt biking, the left foot would get so hot on the outer left edge I would have to take it off and pour water on it.
Used the footbeds, and solved the problem. They also come whith shims to align the angle of the foot.
I am using MTB pedals and shoes on the road bike, and can do 40 miles w/o any undue discomfort.
Shoes; SIDI Dominator
Pedals; Shimano 959
Footbeds; Specialized body geometry
I must be crazy to spend that kind of money on this....
