Speeding is wrong depending where you are speeding.

I can tell you from experience...50 mph going straight ahead ain't so fast. 50 mph going sideways, backwards, sideways, frontwards, sideways, backwards, sideways, frontwards, sideways, and backwards is a WHOLE lot faster!!!!!!!!!

The sad thing is, when the Zex tank in my truck was full, I only used it in the mud a few times, the rest was on roads :(.

Speeding isn't always bad. I mean if you need to get some sleep, yeah, it can be a problem, but it used to be great for work when I was a kid, made me a busy lil beaver. ;)

I love speeding! Only problem is, everytime I'm about to make my car faster, I lose a job and the money has to go elsewhere. But I should get a police interceptor CPM from ebay. It sucks when the stock CPM stops me from going past 108. I could chip it or have it flashed, but you can get a surplus police CPM for like 40 bucks.

I had a speedy bike once. I crashed it on the highway and don't know to this day why I didn't die.

My Garmin says my top speed is 116- I know for a fact it's never gone past 80. I doubt my car can go 130 without the wheels falling off. :D

Highways are teh debbil!

Really, it's the side roads that make me ride I only get on the highway if I have no other choice. So it takes longer, but it's a whole different experience.

There was someone on the bay bridge easily going over a 100 mph. I know because at the speed I was going, and how fast he went by me.. he must have been going fast. He was weaving in and around cars.

Too many cars on the bridge to go 85. But the motorcycle went by me extremely quick.

Someone I know in the bay who has a rice burner severely out did that, and passed a CHP officer who didn't even attempt to go after him. Lets just say NOS was involved.

Its been a long time, but I think I didn't like the bay bridge.

Pure fantasy. Holy Fast and Furious wannabes Batman!

How long does a bottle of Nitrous Oxide last, or how long does the engine last before grenading during continuous usage?

It's easy to outrun a single car, but very difficult to outrun Motorola.

Couldn't tell ya how long nos lasts man. I've heard you can get about 4 quarter mile drag strip runs from a 150 shot with an average size muscle car, but thats all I know about that.

Its not pure fantasy, that did happen. The guy who owns this car is not a wannabe, he is a hardcore gearhead.

My Garmin says my top speed is 116- I know for a fact it's never gone past 80. I doubt my car can go 130 without the wheels falling off. :D

My Garmin glitches once in a while and says something like max speed of 480. That's from when it's "dead reckoning" for a good 30 seconds but when it picks the signal back up, you're somewhere other than where it expected you to be, so it sees a little few-hundred-mile-per-hour "teleport" to the actual location.

The 130 is very real (in a chipped Focus)

The speedometer photo is my needle buried at 120 (but going faster) in my Escort (which gets 42 MPG when I'm not ragging it out)

Both were performed off of public roads. I think went about 110 for a few miles on my way to Vegas back in 1999. I hadn't seen another car in over an hour. I usually go a few MPH over to stay with traffic when I drive. I'm not that much of a leadfoot.

Not just over 100, more like 165 or 170. And what do you mean by outran motorola?

ax0n
12-30-06, 10:17 PM
I installed Nitrous oxide in a friend's Focus, we set it up for a 75 shot, and it was a 20 pound bottle. It would get about 3 minutes of spray (7-10 runs if he purged it at the staging line) so long as he kept the pressure up with a bottle heater. A 150 shot would last half that long, give or take.

I only speed when there are no other people around me. Which is also rare.

Where's this non-public road that has enough length to get a slow car up to 130 mph?

It was a 3500' runway on land that was sold to a rock quarry in 1994.

Despite the age, the pavement was in extremely good condition as of 2002, but the rock mining on the property has probably swallowed it up by now.

A quick check of google maps shows they ruined the runway. Probably because it was becoming less and less of a secret.

Street racing is definitely the devil. We get a few really, really bad accidents out here every year. Even a relatively light car (say, 2000 pounds) has a lot of kinetic energy at 35 MPH. Take that up to 85 or 90 on public roads, and there's a lot of carnage waiting to happen.

Keep it off the roads.
