Classic & Vintage - Anybody ever heard of Columbus GT tubing?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Somehow I just wound up with Belgium racer- Geert Verheyen's Colnago (has his name all over it under the clear coat). Verheyen is sponsored by Colnago. It is a mid-90's Colnago "Export" Eco Cdx. It has the clover cutout in the BB shell and clovers in the forks, Colnago dropouts and "Export" stamped into the seatstays and fork crown.

It has Columbus GT (Gran Turismo) tubing. Seatpost is 27.2.... What is that??!!!

I can find virtually nothing on this frame......

Thanks for any help....
