I'm doing some research into building up a cross bike, and one of my top choices is the Planet-X Uncle John (http://www.planet-x-bikes.com/road/index.php?module=pagemaster&PAGE_user_op=view_page&PAGE_id=158&MMN_position=355:355). But, the main issue I'm having is the fact that I'm considering going Campy, but the frame has 135 spacing. Is this going to be an issue? I know that I *can* pinch it down to 130, but I'm not sure if my options have any particular major pro's / con's. The main options that come immediately to my mind are finding a 135 campy-compatible hub (if that exists), running spacers or pinching a 130 hub, or just saying F' it and going shimano/sram.

Thanks!

In my search of campy-compatible wheels I found Cane Creek Strados Disc, which accept a campy-compatible freehub body.

The DT Swiss hubs are available with a Campy body and are easily convertible to 135, you just change out the end cap.

pinch the stays together - I am doing that on mine with a CC 130mm wheelset

Rear dropout spacing - 135mm, but will pinch to 130mm just fine!

From their website.

back from the dead! :)

A friend of mine has been on a hiatus from building custom frames, but offered to build me something this Summer when he gets all his stuff set up again. So, I likely won't be bothering with the Planet X now.
