Hello. As a fledgling 50 year old, I'm wondering if the 50+ is the right forum ... or if there is another recommended forum ... to ask about Michigan bike clubs.

Purpose of question is to expand my biking interest, by finding out about planned rides, biking events, and stuff like that. I live in the Downriver Area, southwest of Detroit.

If you know of any Michigan bike clubs (and how to join) ... or know of the more proper bikeforum I should be asking this question, please let me know.
Thanks,
Motorad

The nice thing about the advice here is it's free and usually comes with a smile........

As Master Cylinder wrote, LMB has quite a list of the clubs in Michigan. I even see a Downriver Cycling Club which is based in Trenton. Also, you can get a nice event calendar each year from LMB, which will list dozens of organized events throughout Michigan. Good luck, maybe I'll see you out on a big ride next summer!

You could post your question on the Regional Discussions--Great Lakes subforum.

You could ask at your LBS.

Happy New Year.
