Im having trouble keeping my sensor in place on my fork. It keeps coming loose and clanging against the spokes. Ive tried a little bit of masking tape, any other suggestions? THe problem is its an aero fork so the sensor mount doesnt fit very well around.

MMmm, thank you for that post. I'm getting a new road bike soon with aero spokes and I'll be sure to ask how to fit a sensor on it.

Have you tried a piece of electrical tape? it holds pretty well and doesn't look too bad.

Zip ties are your friend!

Have you tried a piece of rubber (maybe cut from an old tube) under the clamp?

I run rolf vector pros, my magnet is right against the hub of the wheel. At that point the spoke transitions from round to aero. I have never had a problem with the magnet.

I think I said the wrong thing, the problem isnt the magnet on the spokes, its the sensor on the fork. I have masking tape holding it on but that didnt last so long.

try glueing a piece of rubber (old tube) to the fork, then use electrical zip ties to mount the sensor against the rubber.

The rubber thing works for me. I've done this on three bikes that I've owned and never had one loosen up. I would be careful about the glue though. If you have a carbon fork I could see some glues damaging it.

You can try some self amalgamating plastic, "rubber" electrical tape it adheres to itself, no glue. its not cheap, but it has other great uses. hammer handles that don't get all icky sticky. for those of you, thats gummy in technical terms.

You can try hitting up the electrical utility crews for a bit, tape is cheap when you buy it like we do.
just ask for about 6" should be enough to do you.

Someone once commented that electrical tape and carbon fiber are not the best of friends, something about the adhesive? Can anyone back that up?

This would require another computer but Specialized and Cat Eye both use sensors that mount with zipties and will fit and stay put on most any fork. The Spec has a rubber bit that fits the leading edge of an aero fork very well.
