Suntour or Shimano Rear Derailleur for a Peugeot U08 bike - Which do you prefer and why?
Background: Peugeot (U08) on which I had a rear derailleur jam (Suntour Cyclone). Former owner just mentioned that he'd had a fall a few years ago. Seems to me if someone was using middle gears (in the back) then it wouldn't have put a possibly already bent derailleur to full stress. Full stress must have happened with me changing gears to the lowest gear (highest sprocket). There is no front derailleur on this bike. Chain was on smallest chainset.
PS Gear Shifters are SunTour / Cyclone. There was no clicking when I switched gears. Friction gears?
Comments on these welcome too.
