Hi- I'm new on the Forum, and I'm just getting back into riding after a hiatus of several years. I have ridden road and mountain bikes in the past. I own a 1999 Giant Upland, an opaque blue Schwinn Continental (I purchased it new - with my own money, as a 19-year-old) in 1974, and my newest pride and joy is a really nice Kool Lemon '73 Schwin Super Sport. I'm partial to the Chicago Schwinns, probably because they were the "Cadillac" when I was a kid, but also because they're American made. The Schwinns are in great shape- I've just sent both of them through the shop for refurbishing.
I'm presently riding 3-4 times per week, 10 miles at the time, and planning to participate in some Spring rides and for Cycle NC next Fall (a one-week trip across our great state).
