Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Kilo TT, Pake, Soma Rush: Weight for each frame?

So yeah, anyone have much to say for the weight of each of these? They all seem to be similar tubing.

The Rush is made of a much higher quality tubing than the other two listed, and should be considerably lighter.

4lbs, according to their website (i'm assuming their 55cm frame)

found out that the pake is 5.33 lb for 55cm w/o fork, so a bit heavier.

anyone know the weight of a khs flite / mercier?

anyone have any strong opinions one way or the other?

ehh... i could have a rush w/ the fork for 450 or an njs approved bridgestone w/ fork, bottom bracket and headset for 425.

i'm assuming njs approved bikes are all relatively the same tubing and same weight as to ensure no one has an advantage?

I took my mercier apart around the time I was building my new bmx bike and the frame was definitely lighter than my bmx frame, so it's definitely under 5.2 lbs. in the 4 lbs range, I guess.

Dunno, but the 59cm I bought early this year is Prestige.

how might you go about that? njs bridgestones aren't usually that cheap.

the pake is likely the heaviest, followed by the khs/mercier, and then the rush.

most bike frames are rebranded, the Pake and the flight might be made by the same company.

It is the tubing and geometry that is important, the soma rush is nice, light but it also has a track geometry so to overlap can be a small problem. Also the high quality tubes are made for riding, not for crashing. A good fall in polo might end it.

I really like the the pake, it is west coast slang for cheap (from the chinese) and it is inexpensive.

The KHS and the pake are both thicker tubing, cheaper, a few grams heavier but comfortable, durable etc. I would go for the soam if it is all the same, otherwise I would go for the KHS or the pake.

The mercian might be similar, the windsor, the fuji and the motobecane that they sell are ok, but they are cheaper, especially the hour. It isn't crap but it is minimal.

Harris sells them for a pretty fair price. Better than Ben's Cycles anyways, if you want to point fingers.

and how would one buy them directly from formula without having to buy 1000 pairs?

I don't necessarily want to blow up the spot but I'm sure some other people on here know as to where it would come from... but it's used so don't picture shiny new NJS approved equipment.

I have a 2008 Soma Rush frame, and have had NO problems with the paint (black). I ride this bike hard and bang it up against fitness apparatus, lamp posts, etc..., and have had no problem with chips.

i'm surprised no one has mentioned yet that the Pake and Soma Rush are the exact same geometry. the soma uses higher quality tubing and therefore costs more and weighs less. my pake is a tank. my kilo TT was a decent bit lighter, and i am sure the rush is lighter than the TT.

And the KHS Flite = Kilo TT.
