Recumbent - Strange observation from new bent rider...

I've only ridden 250 miles on my bent thus far, but happened to think about something that's totally different than all the other obvious things....I don't have the drippy nose in the cold wind issues anymore, given the new riding position!!!

That is cause your nose is not hanging over your knees. ?maybe? peace

I'm not sure why that would be, but I wouldn't complain if I were you!

I'm the same way. No nasal drip. I used to gush constantly during allergy seasons but not on a bent. However, when I ride my upright tandem, the nose runs again.

*shrug* I never get it on either bike, except for in the extreme cold. Count me lucky I guess!

One thing I've noticed on the bents is that my bladder makes itself known sooner, especially in cold weather.

When I'm under way on my upright with my face tilted down, snot runs out my nose and over my upper lip. When I get to an intersection where I unclip and stand upright, my head angle changes so the snot sloshes backward and runs down my throat instead. Same amount of snot, just running a different way.

And here I thought it was cause we weren't snot nosed kids anymore! ;)

Interesting. One night I had a few beers, and started home. I absolutely had to get off the bike on a rural road, and GO. I've never had that happen before - probably the beer, because it hasn't been a problem since...
