Hello all,
Like the title indicates, it's been quite a while since I've ridden a bike.
I would presume my reasons for joining the forum are pretty typical...looking for advice and suggestions that will help me decide on what new/used bike I am going to purchase, the l see if there are any local riders that have trip/trail suggestions etc...
The last bike I had ~2 years ago and was also for about 2 years, it was a Motiv Dual Suspension bike that was purchased at Costco for me as a gift...what a piece of turd that was! It was heavy, too small and starting falling apart pretty quickly. Luckily they've got a great return policy.
Anyhow I've been bikeless now for over 2 years. So I am researching my options quite extensively.
And am leaning towards a Hybrid style bike, since I'd like the ability to do fire road trail stuff at the local parks around my area.
I'm 6'3 and 265lbs, part of my getting back into shape will be a biking by myself, with friends and with the family.
Cheers!
Dave
