This may seem like a "no duh" type question, but you never know...

I building a single speed roadster for my wife. The bike has an old style cup and spindle BB. The drive side of the spindle is longer, so in order to get the cranks closer in, I was going to flip it and use the non drive side to get a better chainline.

Are there any issues with doing this. I can't really see any, but...

The fixed gear crowd does it all the time. Have at it, and make sure the ring doesn't hit the chainstays under load!
