Foo - I've just guaranteed warm weather for the Northeast all winter!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I bought new skis.
I just checked the weather and temps are in the 50's all week. That's un heard of for January in Rhode Island, Temps up north won't even be cold enough to make snow. If I bought a new bike or golf clubs I would be a blizzard this week.
Oh well, I'll be skiing in Colorado next month, hopefully the 20 feet of snow they got last month doesn't melt... But I'll bring my golf clubs just in case.

FYI, just so you know those two snowstorms didn't really do much for our mountains. It was Denver and East of Denver that got hit pretty hard.
But its suppose to start snowing in the mountains by weeks end. :) Either way I think you will be fine. :)

I bought new skis.

I bought new skis in October, and that's why it has been warm up until now. Between the two of us, it'll be 80 degrees in March. (I haven't been to the mountains yet!)

Atomic Metron 9. I bought them new from Ebay for a pretty good price.

No hope for the Northeast. I bought my son a night pass at the loacl ski place so he can snowboard. That's a perverse form of insurance. :o

Bring your skis down to Tennessee; I don't like riding in cold weather.

Bah...I bought new skis and the next week every route up to Mt. Hood got washed out in a big rain storm, in one section for several hundred contiguous yards.

Actually, that's fixed now, but I haven't been able to get any friends together on weekends where I'm not busy...

Parts of U.S. Experience Warm Winter
By TARA BURGHART, Associated Press Writer

CHICAGO - Crocuses are pushing out of the ground in New Jersey. Ice fishing tournaments in Minnesota are being canceled for lack of ice. And golfers are hitting the links in Chicago in January. Much of the Midwest and the East Coast are going through a remarkably warm winter, with temperatures running 10 and 20 degrees higher than normal in many places.
