Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Would it be something good for BF's to track the date of paying members who joined? In 2009, only two years away, the forum will be 10 years old. A few of the members have been there from the start. Would they be in line to get a medal or something? Or maybe a silver star?
Just me thinking out loud...

Well, just looking at the Members List (http://www.bikeforums.net/memberlist.php?&order=ASC&sort=joindate&pp=30), and sorting by Join Date, I get the following 10 oldest members (by join date) with red stars:
Greg (only red star in top 30) - Join Date = 12/01/99, last visited = 12/01/05
JonR (page 4) - Join Date = 03/29/00, last post = 03/13/02
Xavier (page 5) - Join Date = 04/30/00, last visited = 01/03/06
Ba-Dg-Er (page 6) - Join Date = 05/24/00, last post = 12/07/06
Admin (page 7) - Join Date = 06/05/00, last visited = 10/06/03
ljbike (page 9) - Join Date = 07/23/00, last visited = 01/01/07
John E (page 10) - Join Date = 07/28/00, last visited = 01/03/07
orguash (page 10) - Join Date = 07/30/00, last visited = 12/17/06
Buddy Hayden (page 11) - Join Date = 08/07/00, last visited = 08/07/05
Jean Beetham Smith (page 13) - Join Date = 10/08/00, last visited = 11/11/06
Other than Joe and a Moderator, I had to go to the 3rd page before finding a member who was still active (cyclpsycho - Join Date = 02/04/00, last visited = 01/03/07).
It is interesting how half of the 10 oldest paid members are no longer active.
