What a tough day it has been. Work was challenging, my sister has created more havock. Between dealing with stupid employees and other problems i am lost. Which means one thing: more coffee.

Deep breath time. Iiiiiiiinnnnnnnn, oooooouuuuuuuttttttttt. Repeat. Repeat again. Make a conscious effort to relax your muscles as you exhale, especially your shoulders. Then go get another hug from VegaVixen (she's always good for a drive-by hug  ). You may want to lay off Tom's coffee, though - not because it's bad or anything like that (I wouldn't know anyway as I've never developed the taste for a cuppa Joe), but because I'd think mellowing out and relaxing would do you better right about now than amping yourself up any further. Come the morning, though, knock back as much of that bottomless pot as you dare and go back to it. It will be okay. And for tomorrow, screw the big picture - just get through the day: hell, just get through the next five minutes if that's what it takes. One foot in front of the other. At least for one day, take it in small, bite-size chunks and let the big picture take care of itself.
Tailwinds, friend.

I know its really good stuff but I've never had a taste for Jamaican Blue Mountain or pure Kona. Its very mild - too smoothe for my taste. I like bolder coffee's.

Kona is a pretty bold coffee, but that's what I didn't like about Jamaican Blue Mountain...it was too weak a coffee for me.

Maybe the Kona I had wasn't roasted as long or something. It was very mild. Not bold at all.

Make the JBM as an espresso. Milder and less bitter, but LOTS of kick!:D

Don't mistake smooth as not bold. Strong coffee doesn't mean bitter.....Kona is strong, but very smooth.
Kopi Luwak coffee comes from the Indonesian island of Sumatra, an area well-known for its excellent coffee. Also native to the area is a small civit-like animal called a Paradoxurus. That's the scientific name, the locals call them luwaks. These little mammals live in the trees and one of their favorite foods is the red, ripe coffee cherry. They eat the cherries, bean and all. While the bean is in the little guy's stomach, it undergoes chemical treatments and fermentations. The bean finishes its journey through the digestive system, and exits. The still-intact beans are collected from the forest floor, and are cleaned, then roasted and ground just like any other coffee.
The resulting coffee is said to be like no other. It has a rich, heavy flavour with hints of caramel or chocolate.
Other terms used to describe it are earthy, musty and exotic. The body is almost syrupy and it's very smooth.
One must wonder about the circumstances that brought about the first cup of Kopi Luwak coffee. Who would think to (or even want to) collect and roast beans out of animal feces? Perhaps a native figured it was easier to collect the beans from the ground this way, rather than having to work harder and pick them from the trees? We'll likely never know. But because of the strange method of collecting, there isn't much Kopi Luwak produced in the world. The average total annual production is only around 500 pounds of beans.
Because of the rarity of this coffee, the price is quite outrageous. If you can find a vendor, the current cost for a pound of Kopi Luwak is around $300 or more. Some more adventurous coffee houses are selling it by the cup, but you won't likely find it at your local coffee shop just yet. The coffee isn't so spectacular that it's truly worth that amount of money. You are paying for the experience of enjoying such an unusual and rare delicacy.

I've been wanting to try that coffee since I first heard about....just for the adventure like they say. I'm not paying $300 for it though....I want to find a coffee shop that sells a cup and have been unsuccessful so far.
