What do you have for trade* locally?
Moderator's note: We're going to allow this for now, as long as certain guidelines are followed. Quite simply, this is for trades and giving stuff away only. No items for sale. As soon as something is posted for sale, this thread will be locked. Please follow these guidelines so that we don't have to take that action.

Ok, I posted the one and only rule in the first post. Please abide by it. We really do want to continue to foster the sense of community that the forums provides, and SoCal seems like a really tight group. So give stuff away, or trade amongst yourselves. But please do not post items for sale.
Thanks,
Brian

If this goes the direction of most other SoCal threads, it won't have anything for sale, trade, or bike related. :p
I have MTB stuff. All in really good shape. You all know how it is, just got to
have the "new improved" model.
So, what ya'll got to trade for these?
XTR 952 cranks, w/ virtually new BB ( sprockets in decent shape)
Marzocci Z2 Atom race sus fork, 80mm ( 2001 ) never jumped!
Wheels ( F & R ), Hugi 240, front w/ F519 rim, Rear w/ 517, includes 9sp XT casette.
. Rear is practically new. NOT disc compatible.
XTR V-Brakes and levers, F&R, 2 new unopened set of pads.
Easton Monkeylite carbon bars. 24"
Sheeet, Theres more too.
Make an offer for trade! ( money NOT accepted, but lets be fair..):D

My daughter would love an 8 year old to play with, what kind of condition is he/she in? Prefer a girl if you have one. Can trade a two year old DA crank.

He's in good condition...enjoys playing with girls, so that might work! He's also very polite, respectful and thoughtful to anyone outside of his bloodline. :D

2001 Trek 520 Touring bike. Many scratches, but otherwise ok. It's probably going to the bicycle kitchen though. Whatever happens, it's leaving my house.
edited:
They measured these in inches which ran in 2" increments, 17", 19", 21" etc. I ride a 56cm frame normally, so it's going to be the one that's close to that size.
Also, to be more clear, it needs new tires, handlebar tape, that sort of thing.

Hey, Brian, you sound so darn official. Don't worry. I for one don't want to pay for anything. If I can find an aternate way of bartering, I'm all over it. :D

Yes, and let me state, I'll trade IT for anyone who has a morph road pump w/gauge just lying around that they are not using. I can't find one anywhere! Not Performance or Budget.
I can then get myself another little red star. :D

 suuuurrrrreeee. Completely fair. ;) Actually, now that you mention it. I'll trade my Nissan that is now sitting in the Target parking lot in Eagle Rock with a flat tire that I need to have towed to the tire shop (long story, but my tire "key" is gone from when Good Tire put on new tires) for a Garmin. But the one catch is that after you get my tired replaced, you have to give the Nissan back. :D

Well, I'm sure AAA guy had a can of that last night. I have this little tire "key" problem where you can't get the tire OFF to change it. Lovely huh? Maybe I should offer to trade neck massages for free lessons on how to maintain my car and bike properly. :D

I just hope some tire shop can get the tire off and the process is painless (other than having to take off from work - which I was supposed to be on vacation anyway! - to do it). :o

Yeah, I'd offer to help with the car and bike maintenance, sadly I'm not exactly geographically friendly to you, ME.
And yes, any decent shop should be able to either make a new "key" or break off the locking lugnut for you.

You are so nice, Herb! If I do, I'll call you. And since this is the Trading Post Thread - I'll trade you two tubes for a ride if I need one. :) Okay? OH, and my car is in the parking lot by Budget, so if you'll take me over there sometime this morning, we can swing by there for me to get you the tubes!
