FYI - Last showing of this movie (http://imdb.com/title/tt0472268/) is tonight at 8:40 in Westlake Village (http://movies.aol.com/movie/the-flying-scotsman/28195/main). Not sure if it's going to show anywhere else in the area. An amazing book and story.

I'll be there

The filmmakers took some liberties with the story but still a great film. Unfortunately turnout was me and one other guy. Too bad there isn't any general desire for a good cycling related film - Obree's story deserves more.

Oh well, check it out on DVD when it comes out.

32, I would have been there for sure if I had known. I'm kicking myself now for missing it. Is it playing anywhere else in the region???

Not that I'm aware of, in fact I'm not sure where it is playing in the rest of the country - nothing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Maybe there will be a wider release a little later but if last night's attendance was any indication... Granted it was a Thursday night.

Sorry about the late notice from me, I knew it opened on the 29th but had been too busy to go, I figured it would play for more than a week. Luckily, I checked last night when I came home from work and saw that I had less than an hour to get to the last show. Mad dash in the rain from Pasadena to the west end of the Valley got me there just after the opening credits.

I'll keep my eye out and let you know if it shows anywhere else.
