Anyone know what brand of bottom bracket is on this bike? It is a 1994 and I want to remove the bottom bracket ot get it painted and want to get the right tools.

Burley's own proprietary bottom bracket. They are pressed-in sealed units. Best to leave it alone.

If yer removing if for paint and it's a 1994, you're also buying a replacement?????

So I understand this correctly, they don't come out?

The older BBs from Burley are. as Mark said, 'proprietary'.
Once removed it may be difficult to re-insert it into the shell. A trick, that sometimes works, is to put the BB into your freezer overnight so it willl be easier to re-insert into shell.
Or just tape it over for the re-paint.

Powder coating it so they need to come out. I got the eccentric out no problem, but the stoker bearings are being tough.

No, they come out and go back in just fine. However, it takes a pair of snap-ring pliers and a bearing press + the knowledge to use the bearing press. Any auto, motorcycle, machine or better bicycle shop should have a press and be able to do it for you.

Well went to a shop and had marginal success. Distroyed the bearings and spacer, got the spindle ( the important part). Will get new bearings and make a spacer unless there is another option. Anybody got an idea the assembly order for these pieces? I was thinking of pressing in the bearings with the spacer between and then driving the spindle through the whole mess.

My friend recently had the whole thing replaced at a machine shop with new bearings and I think it was pretty reasonable also in the last 6 month new ones have gone on sale at ebay, but I had know reason to pick one up. Also if desperate a good bike frame shop may be able to covert. Let me know if you need to know what was need at a machine shop and I'll put you two in touch - where are you at Mike

The bearings are 6203-2RS I believe and they are cheap on ebay as well as other bearing stores. The only item I will have to make is the spacer. What I need to know is assembly order, what to attach when. I am in SW Ohio and have access to tools at a machine shop.
