Whatchu talking about? The original DOS was a revived version of a dead OS, CP/M. They just changed all the / slashes to \ to make it different, but the damn 8.3 filenames would haunt us for decades. But there we some remants of the forward / that remained...

It says DOS though, not CP/ M.
