Hi, I've lost the little stopper plate which goes between the clamp of the left hand crank on my M760 XT chainset. Does this matter? Does it serve to prevent them coming loose/ prevent over tightening or some other important function, or is there nothing to worry about?
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers,
Denry

I was asking a similar question a while ago since my new XT cranks did not come with a stopper plate. People said to ask in the mechanics forum.
Here is the link-- I think. http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=229660
