"The 33"-Road Bike Racing - A team!

I finally got my act together and joined Team Swift a junior development racing team. I'm getting my team swift kit sometime this weekend and they are supplying me with a specialized allez i think. Can't wait! :)

Yeah, I probably will do the Earlybird Crits and go on from there. i think my first race is in february.

Cool! When is your first race? The first for me is the Apple Pie Crit in Santa Rosa.

Well, my dream goal is to upgrade to Cat. 3 so I can go to road Nats., but I'm nearly guaranteed a spot to Track Nationals (no Category prerequisite). Right now I'm just building up a base and trying to have fun with what limited time I have on the bike, and although I don't know when or what my first race will be, I can tell you it'll be around mid-late February.

Heck, I don't even have my USCF license yet. Better get on it!

nice man! sf doesnt even have a velodrome! Yeah, road nats is something want to do also. Last year three guys from team swift got there and placed in top 5. and don't owrry, I dont have license yet either.

Awesome. I met a lot of the team when I was out riding. I was going to join, but I only had a year before I left for college. Anyhow, enjoy, it's a great bunch. Do you live in the area? They're based in Santa Rosa, which is near where I live.

Can you get to San Jose? They have one, and whether you're a roadie or a trackie, it's beneficial to train on the track from time to time.
