hi there fellow amateur wrench monkeys, has anyone had any experience with the above BB? The brand is ***, evidently they are a european company.
i once spoke to a sales rep- who was a cyclist! in a bearings shop, what a coincidence. Anyway the shop is now gone and no-one around seems to sell *** bearings. The rep did tell me they were sealed for life, but even then they would need a top up of grease, surely? The rep also said the bb had labrinth seals- heck i don't even know what that means!
The bb was on a second hand frame i purchased, and now 10 years later it is possibly on its last few kilometers, but is it able to be restored?
Thanks in advance for replies
regards, sillystorm

I just thought I would post a reply to myself.
......So anyone who was interested in what a reply to this post would say will be disappointed, but I couldn't resist the joke :D
(- seems a nadax bb is a very rare breed of bb.)
This is a genuine post- I really do have this type of bb. But as most Forum members are USA based I guess *** bearings aren't common there. Not to worry,as it is old if I wreck it then it has "done me well".

*** are generally sealed no-maintainance cartridges. The locking ring is similar to low-end Campag style (6 pins in a circle).
*** are sometimes used when the threads are damaged.
If your threads are OK,you can replace it with a more standard BB such as Shimano.

They were sold here for quite a few years. Bought mine at Palo Alto Bicycle, in Palo Alto California. They might be able to help. But, its been, 2 years from your post, :)
