Did anyone hear about those college dudes who smashed on with a sledge in front of everybody? People cried from what I hear.
But back to the present, I heard that it was awesome but overheats.

I like mine, got rid of a few to help pay for it though. :D

Any comparisons between game consoles and standalone Hi Def/BluRay DVD players? The price difference is enough to make me consider a game console instead of a DVD player to play HD or BluRay. I believe Xbox 360 plays HD-DVDs? I would prefer it only because MotoGP 06 in only available in Xbox.

The HD content looks great but it does not have an internal scaler so SD DVDs do not look as good as some of the more expensive players, of course you can't play games on those. My son has a PS3 and I have a 61" 1080p DLP, the Blu Ray movies look fantastic.

And while not a big gamer I did play RFOM on co-op with my son in the Super Human level and it was a blast. The games in 1080p are incredible, just not enough of them yet.

Hmmmm. Might be worth it than. My 50" plasma is only 1080i and i have a regular progessive scan DVD player so i dont need the scaling so much.

If you plan to play games just make sure your Plasma can accept 720p and scale to 1080i. I believe this is one of the issues with the PS3 now for older 1080i sets, it downrezs the games to 480p. Should be Ok for movies though.
