On E-bay the are selling a Unic Industries of France, TDF 70,s bike that appears to be a double chainring with a 5 gear cog.The only specs.is the caption,"this bike is cool."Is this sort of a Univega type broker of various brands in France in the 1970,s.
I thought Unic,s were the genital challanged(for lack of better words) guards the Pharoh hired to keep watch on the Queen of Egypt,s virtue.

Eunuchs are castrated male **** sapiens. They are employed in various capacities. At one time 'castrati' were preferred for singing soprano parts. Nowadays they are occasionally still encountered, sometimes serving as 'guards' and sometimes serving a sentence.

I don't know anything about Unics. Someone else will have to answer that question.

I just picked up a Unic-Industries and have to say it resembles the Gitane with exact same cutout of lugs. Even the decals are modeled after the Gitane, just with different words. The UNIC feels heavier though...I'll post pics and you can compare to yours.
