Introductions - Hello from western MA

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi All. Cycling has played an important part in my life since I got a Schwinn for my 13th birthday. While friends were out playing sports that required coordination, which I didn't seem to have much of, I was off on long road rides. Soon after, I got my first job at a bike shop. There, I was fortunate enough to have a great cycling mentor, three-time Olympian John Allis, who encouraged me to race. A few years later, I was living at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado as a member of the US Cycling Team (track rider). I "retired" from racing in 1992, and cycled recreationally through college and a beyond. I spent the past six+ years in the renewable energy industry when one day I was showing my girlfriend how to fix a flat on her new MTB. As we both got covered in grease, I wondered aloud if anyone made a degreaser wipe for cyclist to carry for such dirty jobs. To make a long story short, I found out the answer was no, so I decided, what the heck, I’ll strike out and develop the product myself (with others on the way). It’s been a steep learning curve, but lots of fun to be back in the cycling community. It’s also got me riding more, which is always a good thing. Happy riding, Paul

You were a shy fellow not to post before, and a red star member to boot. It sounds as if you've got some very interesting stories to share with us when you get around to posting more.
I'll be looking for more of your posts in the future. Good luck with your venture.

Well it's about time! Welcome to the forums, Paul.
Hey Paul. Whereabouts in the hills are you? What kind of riding do you do now? Whatever it is, there's a lot of good stuff in this area.
Hey, Mirona. I'm in Richmond, MA in the Berkshires. Great place to live, work, and ride! Nowadays, it’s mainly mountain biking in Kennedy Park with my dog, but I’m thinking about building up a road bike this spring.
Zogics-I'm from over the hill in Lenox and ride mostly on the road. I thought I'd try out your product:) Maybe i'll see you around the sometime.
Hey there, 0o0o0o. Nice to see a fellow Berkshirite around here. Thanks a bunch for trying out my product, which I'll send out to you today. I welcome any feedback you may have. FYI, in our region, CitraWipes are sold at the Arcadian Shop in Lenox, Plaine’s in Pittsfield, and Berkshire Bike & Blade in Great Barrington. See you around!
