Well, I put on my new XT shifters and XT rear deraileur. I must say that setting up the deraileurs to work was a little of a pain, but not too bad. My dad had done it before, so once he came to check on me, we breezed right through it. I must say that the shifters made a world of difference! I can't believe how much better the bike rides now.
