Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm thinking:
Decent breakfast:
(eggs, bagel, juice).
Some power bar type stuff for eats along the way, along with an energey gell.
Lunch:
Tortilla sandwich (with peanut butter and jelly), fruit, some sort of candy.

Then FAT BBQ something when I get home.
Any ideas?

Sounds good.
I like PayDay bars and Fig Newtons for snacks.
Gu or Honey in the gel category.
Pancakes are good for breakfast.
Have fun! and drinks LOTS of water/powerade, etc.

I usually carry a few bananas. You can engineer the sugar to starch ratio by letting them go black, I like mine a bit spotty. I also tend to eat my sandwich lunch by the 30 mile mark.
You can do centuries as a fast ride, snacking in the saddle, or as a series of scenic picnics and pub stops interspersed with some cycling.

Sounds like you have a good plan. Its mostly a matter of preference. As long as you don't eat the wrong things.
I don't like power bars and gels so I go for real food. Fig newtons, trail mix, fruit, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, etc.
My latest find is the trail mix bars from Nature Valley, They are really good and handy.

After the ride anythings fair game. I'll take cold beer and mexican food.
