753 has been used on light touring bikes. The early versions of 753 had paper-thin tubing but later ones were beefier and more suitable. If you are hostel touring you may be able to pack a large (Carradice) saddlebag and bar bag. Does the frame have threaded mounts. How much tyre clearance do you have?
