Hey everyone,

Does anyone know anywhere or any websites that I can get a map of off-road trails in a specific area? These would preferably be publicly certified trails, but even if they aren't, it's still ok. The reason I ask is because I still haven't found any great ones, and even though a quarter of my town is a nature conservatory, they don't allow bikes on it.

Also, if there is anyone here from Fairfield County, Connecticut (preferably southern Fairfield County), do you guys know of any awesome trails out there? Ever since I left Texas, I haven't found as many good trails to ride.

Again, any websites or people in Fairfield County who know of trail maps would be great!

Thanks,
Shane

This book (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0762703334/qid=1051564434/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_1/104-9490502-7005510?v=glance&s=books&n=507846) has 4 or 5 trails there. I was unable to find any maps online in a quick search

the bureau of land management website for your county might actually have designated trails. Last summer I volunteered to do some work for them as a intern, and I met a guy who's entire job was to go out ride trails and mark them for mtb, or atv or hiking.... :)

Looked so promising! But unfortunately, they don't have one in Connecticut, oh well. I'm sure I'll just end up buying a book about local bike courses which would include road paths and trails.
