FLYER (http://relloms.no-ip.com/jacobs/thedudeabides/flyer.jpg)
WEBSITE (http://relloms.no-ip.com/jacobs/thedudeabides/)

On March 3rd you will be the not big Jeffrey Lebowski, the Dude. Because man, that rug really tied the room together. And you need it back.

Start @ 6:00pm, location TBA. 10 bones, clams, or whatever you call them.

The registration will be open starting at 12pm, and will be at Kings Bowling, 10 Scotia St. Afterparty to follow w/ GoldsprintsNYC providing some entertainment. Free caucasians for those who come in costume (while supplies last).

This will be a race about going fast and quick on the fly route planning. For those of you that have done my races before, you know I throw a lot of curve balls. Quick on-the fly route planning and decision making required. First Dude over the line wins. You are not going to get checkpoints in advance, so don't ask.

Prizes keep coming in, it should be a good haul for the winners!

At least drink a few white russians to get in the spirit.

NYCBikes signed on with a track frame/fork for somebody who wins something.

i'm hoping to do this; though it will probably be my first race unless something else comes up before it or if i decide to go down to nyc for MT. eitherway i predict getting my ass handed to me.
and i might be obligated to ride in this solely because the big lebowski is probably my favorite comedy of all time.

haha. Remember that time when we got tickets during the 666 race?

BuddyMike
01-10-07, 05:37 PM
yeah, who got the two tickets and a flat[or vice versa] at the 666 race? I saw that in the results. Hopefully the DFL doesn't involve a tattoo and no checkpoints involve pissing on a rug. I have a hard enough time pissing for drug tests with the door closed.

The DFL at my last race was supposed to get a free tattoo, but he disappeared before I could award it to him.

I raced in the zelda race and I ran into adam from darkwave[gave me this buddy mike name] at the middle east after and he asked who got DFL and if they got carried off by 2 big guys, but apparently that never happened.

um- that was me. Did i note that i had to fend off a wana-be helpfull but falling down drunk guy why i was changing that flat?

I was prying the bit of glass out of the tire, and this guy pulls out this huge knife, and makes to give it to me. I was "no sir- this little blade on the multitool is just fine, thankyouverymuch."

Also true to the movie: In the scene at Maude's apartment with the giggling art creep, doesn't The Dude put non-dairy creamer into his caucasian?

This is correct. I wouldn't recommend this though.

No secret prizes.

Top dogs are gonna be psyched though!

We have a frame/forkset from NYCbikes, a custom REload bag, and tons of little schwag stuff, plus the obvious CASH that I always make a point to hand out to the winners.

It's also sounding like the GoldsprintsNYC crew will be down doing their thing at the afterparty!

since when do scumbags get anything for free?

hopefully a courier will win, and they'll get all the hipster's money.

i'll definitely be in town for this. if its anything like zelda was, i'll be spending the following weeks after thinking of how i could/should have planned my route better. but this time if any checkpoint gives me food, it will be checked thoroughly for hot sauce.

since in many cases both groups are synonomous i have serious doubts ;) hehehe. anyways the whole point of big alleycats is that half the field will dropout, to the winner the spoils go.
