So I just got a brand new Burley rain jacket for the holidays (one of the last, sadly.) and promptly got a bunch of bike grease stains on it in the course of disassembling my bike and loading it into a car. Normally, I treat greased clothes with Spray'n'Wash Stain Stick and forget about 'em but I know all this space-aged rain gear has some kind of special coating that one has to be careful with. What products/techniques are safe to use to get stains out of these fragile articles?

I use Vanish. You are going to have to respray the waterproofing at some point anyway, so don't worry too much about it.

I handwash with dishsoap, water and a toothbrush, gently rubbing in circles. The fabric will lose it's coating where you clean, but that can be sprayed back on. The underlying laminant won't be harmed. You bought a good product, so you should be able to do this many times without a problem over the life of the jacket.
