Road Cycling - Advanced Carbon Fork

Is anyone familiar with Advanced carbon forks? I am told that they make a large number of graphite composite parts that others then put their name on. Any info out there? Thanks.

They just manufacture forks OEM basicly. These they sell to other companies that put their logos and call it their own. Very nice forks but not extremely light. Just inexpensive to put on a frame and keep cost low.

It's funny, but that's probably what I'm going to end up getting. I found one for $100 that's full carbon. A little heavy, but that's fine. It's threadless and inexpensive. Now all I have to do is wait until I can afford it.

I am asking because my new bike came with a one and I wondered if it is any good. Probably not worth the cost to move up to a "brand name" fork such as a Reynolds or Columbus. They probably don't make their own in any event.

er Reynolds do make their own and Columbus don't. Not sure who makes the Columbus and Deda carbon forks and rear stays. LBS told me Time but I don't believe them..

I have a Time on for my lugged frameset and it is my understanding that it was made by Look. At least it was advertised as a Time/Look fork. Maybe they just both bought from the same place and had their name put on it.

Either way, I like them both and find the major difference between them and my steel forks is that they take out just a small amount of vibration when riding on tarmac roads where the gravel in the top-coat is exposed or on small irregularities. Not a major ride improvement.

Most likely Sintema. They made the Mizuno and make many forks carbon and steel. Have for years.
