Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - Why is it so hard to give someone $25?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

OK, I'll start by saying one of the ads is being blocked by the nanny software at work so that might be the "upgrade" link. That being said. I have tried...

Checking the User Control Panel. No mention of upgrading memberships
Checking the FAQ. no mention of upgrading memberships
Search the forums for "Upgrade Memberships". Plenty of mentions but no instructions
Searching long threads for a mention of the upgrade. No mention of upgrading memberships but I now know I can advertise for as little as $25 a month...

So, simply put, BikeForums is one google away from losing $25/year. I'm going to, well, google for a link. If I don't find it, realize you may be losing quite a bit of revenue by making things so hard...

Here is the URL: http://www.bikeforums.net/payments.php

You can get to the upgrade link one of two ways, you can click on somebody else red star, or you can find the link in your User Control Panel, the link to click on is called 'Paid Subscriptions'.

OK. Thanks for the prompt reply. Two things:

1. When I clicked on someone's red star (forgot to mention that I did that too) I didn't get anything about a membership. Here's an example o what I see when clicking on a red star:
Raiyn
View Public Profile
Send a private message to Raiyn
Visit Raiyn's homepage!
Find More Posts by Raiyn
Add Raiyn to Your Buddy List

2. "Paid Subscriptions" is too close to "List Subscriptions". I guess my mind kind of ignored the second since I'm so used to thread tracking being referred to as "subscribing". Perhaps that link should be changed to "Membership Upgrade" or something.

Carl,

I noticed the same thing about the Red Star link (sent Joe a PM about it already too). And a good observation about the 'list subscriptions' link location. :)

Yeah, saw your PM and thanks. All is well. Happy to finally be a red star after several years. 64x64 just got to be too small ;)
