Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Could a 29er fork be built from a bolted crown (a la Bontrager) like this one:

If so, what could be used for blade?
Thanks!
Can you get that part retail?
You could just use 4130 tubing, probably .049 wall, I'm assuming that the stock being held by that is a round tapered blade? There is a thread on another forum about high end custom 29er forks being made with straight tubing, and BMX type DOs.
