Foo - Anyone play bridge?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Expect this thread to move, but before it does, look for the texts from Watson (The Play of the
Hand at Bridge) and Kaplan ([/u]Winning Contract Bridge[/u]). Gordon's On Bridge is the basic text. But go with the others for more depth and to expand your communication greatly.

Yes, but then it's a bit like "Car Talk" on NPR, where you go not just for the car advice but for
some laughs and who knows what other random things...

I do. It's a great game.
I haven't looked at books for a long time. My recollection is that Goren and Jacoby wrote some adequate introductory books.
I haven't looked at bridge software in a long time. What I saw back then was pathetic. Perhaps it is better now.

uh....I never heard of that bike before. But I'll tell you now just to be safe.....FLIP IT!!!!!!!
As stated, this is the Road Bike Forum. If you want to talk about off topic things, there's a place for that. It's called Foo. And that, ladies and gentleman, is where this thread is off to.

"Five Weeks to Winning Bridge" by Sheiwold is how I learned back in HS. Great game but it's not a big hobby of mine anymore.
