Does anyone here run a LOOK frame ?
This frame caught my eye (although a little pricey for just a frame), but I wanted to see if anyone else had any experience with LOOK aside from their pedals.

i dont have a look tt frame- but i do have a look road frame. my first "high end" bike part was a set of look pedals back in the real late 80s and so i kind of had a nostalgic feeling for look.
its a great frame- no complaints after 7500 miles this year. i cant tell you its the greatest thing in the world- because there's ALOT of good bikes out there.
as a friend of mine reminded me when i was shopping for dirt bikes- "the're all good, just pick your color"
however, one thing that really sold me on it was look's R+D. its not just another Thai frame with a company's logo plastered on it. in a world when the same frame can have anything from a Trek to a Motobecane logo applied to it...
look was the first company to try to make a carbon fork. and in the early 90s- they had some successes and some failures. but that sort of crucible is what teaches you how to work with a material and hopefully places you at the front of the curve as oppossed to following behind it.. blindly putting your logo an a generic frame because you need a carbon bike in your line-up to be marketable.

Thai = Thailand
Taiwanese = Taiwan
That means it's good stuff.

I don't know much about the quality of Look frames but my personal opinion is that they're beautiful pieces of art. My first memory of seeing a Look frame in person was at my first sprint tri and a guy blew by me on his Look TT frame while I was averaging around 24/25 mph. It sorta had a lasting impression. When I'm done w/school it's on the list of things to buy.

it'll start playing some crap about Landis... but look to the right and you'll see chap 1-4 of LOOKDVD
particularly chapter 2.
interesting factoid: the frame you are thinking about won 9 medals in Athens
really good info.
enjoy

Everyone is making a big stink about the new Felt DA frame and how aero it is and all that, but apart from the placement of the rear brake the DA and the Look 496 are pretty much the same thing

Felt DA = narrower tubes, different geometry, the ability to use any 1" fork should you need to, a more horizontal downtube to lengthen the horizontal Aspect ratio, and I believe a narrower seatpost and as you mentioned rear brake placement.
You're right in that they look to be the same thing.
