Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Well, it's like everybody is using "like" nowadays. Like just a few years ago it was just like high school girls but now it is like everybody. Like the other day I was talking to this like 40 yr. old lady who was like using like every other word. Does she think she is like, young or something?

It's "worse."
"Worst" would be used in a sentence along the lines of: The worst situation EVER was when I was a cowboy with nothing to eat but foo.
Sometimes I wish I didn't know this stuff, but I'm an editor, and it's my job.

No likes here. Lots of ne, so, to (said with a short o) ;)
Oh and shhhhhhhhhhh (sound made by sucking the air through your teeth), and sooooo dessssu ka.
Would it be correct to say that "shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" means you need to check your armpits? ;)
I've always associated "ne" with groups of purple-haired women in floral print dresses...
Like OH MY GOD, it's like wicked hawt in this cah.
Like, I go "shut up! and she goes "No waaaay", and I'm like, "whatever!" know what I'm sayin'?

Correct on both, but "shhhhhhhhhhhhhh" can double as the answer when you ask, "Do you have any wii in stock? >>>>> Translation "you've got to be fricking kidding"

I had a teacher in high school that always said "kay?" as in okay after nearly every statement he made. We used to count them as entertainment even though it drove us all like, crazy.

Everytime I hear someone use the word "like" in the manner described to ask me a question, I retort that I don't know the "like" they speak of. They do seem to get perturbed at that point, but I quickly answer their question to sooth them. After a dozen times, they consciously find themselves avoiding using the word "like" and it completely stops. Does that make me a doer of good deeds?

Everyone has their filler words. Um, er, like, etc. They're a part of life, but I've found that the less you let them slip, the more intelligent you sound, even if you have to take big pauses. It's neat.
Well you
know that I
think you might
just have a good point

versus:
"Well you like know that I like think you might like just have a good point like there."
or
"Well you uh know that I uh think you might uh just have a good point uh there."
See? It's amazing.
